Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 Reviews

The Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 tyres were fitted to the car when I bought it, along with a fancy set of wheels, making the car look much sportier than it actually is. Roadholding in both wet and dry is a strong point, however the width of the wheels do allow for some tramlining. Ride comfort is surprisingly good giving the low profile, yet road noise ranges from very quiet on a smooth surface to obtrusive on rough tarmac. Most of my high mileage has been on motorways, and I am a little disappointment at how quickly they have worn. Overall they are a good tyre, but given the high price of replacements I might sacrifice a little roadholding and try something cheaper next time.

Bought these a day before heading out to Warrnambool on a family getaway for Easter this year, did over 1000kms round trip as we visited other places, we drove in mid 20 deg sunny days, on cold/slightly damp roads and a rutted gravel road after we made a wrong turn heading to Port Campbell and they performed exceptionally well!!! Also went into Lorne via the back twisty roads (sorry forgot the name of this rd), and they handled a fully loaded wagon with luggage like a champ! Have since then driven them on the freeway on a daily basis on all sorts of conditions, and I am very impressed with the low road noise and comfort they provide. Also being a SV6 Wagon (bit on the heavier side), they are wearing well and run them as per the manual 36psi front and rear and I'm yet to take it back to where I got them for their 1st rotation... I definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for bang for buck performance out of their tyres for their daily. Now would I put these on a modified car like a V8 or Turbo???Probably not, they will loose traction at will, but you definitely have to have a heavy right foot or clutch kick with a fist full of handbrake before a corner, but hey we all know better than that right? ;)

Loved these guys from the first corner. Lovely feedback, really get that controlled movement all the way from apex to finish. In the dry they are responsive and comfortable. In the wet they are still comfortable and stable even on unsealed roads. Great on open roads at all speeds. They will still slide as all tires will if you push it hard enough but if you do it's a very controlble but fluid movement. These have to be my best set yet. Bought these for wet conditions and haven't been disappointed!
