The AT3 LT has the latest generation tyre technology and can be fitted to most 4WDs and SUVs with a large size selection. Tested and proven in Australia.

Key Features

  • Deep Treads reduce tread damage from cut and chip while delivering premium traction and longer tread life.
  • Scalloped Shoulders deliver increased soft surface off-road traction usually reserved for a more aggressive tread design. This feature allows additional traction without compromising on-road tyre performance and safety.
  • Aqua Vac Channels improve the tyre’s resistance to hydroplaning by allowing water to evacuate quickly from the tread surface.
  • Cooper’s high strength, High Tensile Body Ply is 20% stronger than most other brands, giving you enhanced resistance to impact damage when driving off-road.
  • Next-Gen Silica Compound provides cut and chip resistance for improved tread life, mileage, grip and safety.

This was a good all-round tyre, I bought 5 and rotated them according to the schedule we were provided. I had to be more cautious in the wet though which I didn't mind. I did mostly blacktop driving and lived in the NT for a year driving on varied surfaces. I recently replaced the tyres keeping two as spares, of the other three, 2 were worn on the insides which could have been owing me not getting a wheel alignment done on the last rotation and the other one suffered a puncture right in the middle.

I changed the factory tyres as soon as I brought the car, and the Coopers have been excellent. The tyres are at 110,000kms now and I can see myself getting another 20,000kms out of them. Never had an issue with traction, but would like a more aggressive side wall for driving off road.

My Jeep Wrangler came with factory 255/70R18 H/T tyres which has no direct size replacement in an A/T or M/T. I got a 2nd set of 17in wheels and put 265/70R17 which is slightly smaller, I love the Cooper AT3 for the offroad driving I do. Beach, sand dunes & gravel roads/tracks, they perform great & have never let me down. I really would like a set of 265/70R18 tyres to replace the H/Ts. I believe Falken make the Wildpeak AT3W in that size & would make an excellent upgrade to the factory OEM H/Ts.

Have used them on my 2007 model triton and did over 120000km using 3 sets of tyre and only ever had 1 slow leak in a tyre but never a puncture.

Jeep Grand Cherokee is used as a tow vehicle for an off road caravan. They work well. Getting to end of life. Recent puncture on gravel road caused by not reducing tyre pressure after towing van. OE tyres were rubbish and not suitable for dirt roads. Coopers a bit noisy and now getting a little firm as nearing end of life. Probably 10k left. Good value for money, but other brands are cheaper so will look around when replacement necessary.

These tires have been a great tire to have on my Holden Colorado. They have been quiet on road and well handling on gravel roads and reasonably well doing in off-road/4x4 conditions. Having said that, tread wear has been quite high and these tires will need replacing soon. As for my next set of tires, I will be looking into a mud tire such as the Maxxis MT.

Racking up about 40,000km/yr on long distance rural highway driving and construction site driving in varying conditions, always felt secure on or off road.  My first set of the Cooper AT3LT tyres went 100,000km, second set is at about 110,000km and still has legal 3mm tread depth on each. Just put a new set on my wife's Prado also, expect same mileage.
