After switching to something different and putting 30,000km on these tyres I can say they are a really strong tyre. At times I had them down to 10psi in the dunes and never once had an issue with the sidewall. They’re a little slippery in the rain as to be expected from a good mud terrain. They have worn excellently and I never experience tyre-induced wobbles with them and have found them to be fairly quiet even with some decent wear in them.

These tyres have genuinely been put through the works. I daily them 80km per day on highways and dirt roads and also pretty keen on the off-road/4x4 scene so they cop a flogging on rocks and roots. Could be better in slick conditions as they seem to spin and slide on wet road plus sometimes mud will cake them Up and I have zero traction.

They are a 50/50 tyre, perfectly suited if you want to be able to get through tough 4wd tracks( muddy or dry) but still have to do a fair bit of on-road driving because it’s your daily. In my opinion they are quite similar to the Mickey Thompson p3 tyre, just much better priced! They hook up well on bitumen for spirited driving and have gotten me though some hard, muddy clay 4wd tracks. They are slightly slippery on wet bitumen, but all tyres are, and nothing that driving to the conditions doesn’t fix. No road noise when new and only a slight bit when they’re almost bald, but that’s how all tyres work. I would definitely buy these again, because their price is good and they perform well.

They have been a good all rounder, chewing up the mud, cutting through the dirt trails and gripping those rocks. The only thing that does let them down is the traction in the wet and how hard they have become. I do recommend these tyres for more off road style but for the street, that could be better.

Love the chunky look they give, as they wear the road noise is getting louder and I thought the wear would be better. The performance both on and off road is excellent. The replacement price is on the high side.

Khumo MT51 - Chipped, cracker tread blocks and the hover........ tyres went hard as a rock after 20k of driving and driving in the wet has to be avoided, normal driving is not a present experience. I read great reviews for these tyres but have had a bad experience. Rotation and tyre pressures always done on a regular basis. I don’t do hardcore 4x4, just the casual beach trip and easy dirt tracks. Due to my experience with the Khumo MT51, I am due to purchase a new set of tyres earlier than expected.............

When these were new, they had good handling and grip, wet and dry road, very good in slick clay. Now they are down to 3mm tread, have formed heel/toe wear, judder while braking,so I swapped front to back and experienced commencement of the "death wobble".Replaced them with old set of A/Ts and all is smooth again,no more for me thanks.

Started out great but after 20,000 KM they are terrible in the wet and after 40,000 KM they are stuffed and need replacing. I would not buy again.

I have been quite happy with the current set of tyres, I do however find road noise to be a huge issue, in the saying that I do give them a hard time and it’s been very hard to fault otherwise

Overall, great tyre!  On road performance is good for a mud tyre, only thing is they are quite noisey on the highway.   Off-road performance, not the best. (Self cleaning is an issue)  Wear and tear is great for the punishment they endure. Quite a ruggered and tough exterior (comfort, very solid!) Myself I do 50/50 on road driving, and off-road, I haven’t had and punctures at this stage. (touch wood, as I don’t have a spare!)  once aired down, they bag quite nicely and give a great footprint for those slippery situations and rocky obstacles.
