Not a bad set of tyres, they do need regular rotation though as they seem to wear a little faster than I’d like. But have held up on hundreds of Kms of dirt road and grip very well on the black top! I have had a couple of punctures which is disappointing, the Tyre could do with a little more strength/thickness. Driving out to Willandra I inadvertently found myself in a pretty remote spot with some pretty suboptimal roads and no phone service for hours, unfortunately this is where I got my first puncture on this set, from a small stick! Luckily I got the spare on and made it to the next town 3h away in the morning and they plugged the puncture for me. But disappointing that the small stick defeated this set of tyres! These are the tyres that came stock on the Ute and are at about 70% tread remaining and I’m already looking for an upgraded set of more reliable and rugged tyres. I wouldn’t purchase these ones again. Although in saying that, as a stock Tyre they are not too bad! Driving around town and the city they seem to stick to the ground well in all weather conditions, I have hit some corners with a fair bit of speed and other than some light screeching they seemed fine.

I use the tyres for general driving occasionally low 4x4 and numerous dirt or gravel roads, in general a good mix of surfaces. They've done 50000 and are due for replacement now. Of the 50,000. perhaps 35,000 of that was spent driving from Perth WA to remote country SA, a distance of over 2400klms. These are done in one continuous non-stop journey with occasional driver swaps. Often the vehicle will sit on higher speeds for hours on end of around 140klmh without a concern. (private roads of course). Driving through the night with a solid lighting system, we have on occasion had to deal with heavy wildlife, including on more than one occasion panic stop from higher speeds. We have never experienced a problem with the car always stopping in a confident manner. Also on occasion we've endured very heavy downpours for extended periods with the vehicle remaining stable and confident under braking and cornering. We have driven them in loose sand on beaches and to be honest, they were not great, but we also didn't deflate them (too lazy to get out the pump), so I cant really fault them for that. Possibly others can comment on their deflated sand performance. I'd have hoped that a tyre with such a non aggressive tread pattern may have delivered a slightly higher mile number, but not a huge negative. They are very quiet on the highway when travelling for extended hours with zero road noise (2016 Hilux SR5). On a couple of these trips we have towed a car trailer which when empty has a weight of just over 1300kgs. I run around 46PSI in them for this and have no problems. They don't bag out excessively or run hot. On return trips, with car also on the trailer, they have no problems, never a puncture etc. Purely for fun, we have taken them on various rocky grades, including the Mundaring Power Line track on several occasions. This is often low first gear with the locker on and we have never never had a side cut or holed them (I do take notice of placement though). For the tread pattern they have, which is quite mild, I believe they do a impressive job. A previous Courier with lift etc running muddies wasn't as confident, but then the SR5 has the factory diff lock etc.....so maybe its about on par off road for a less confident car with more aggressive off-road tyres (hope that makes sense). Would I buy them to replace the factory tyres, yes, but I may step up sizes to a 285/60R18. I would like to go for a more aggressive pattern, because lets face it, they look cooler, but given the benefits as outlined, I just don't know that I need it and the noise from a more off-road orientated tyre may detract from the vehicle overall. I ticked the factory warn winch box when i bought the car new, so if it gets that bad, I have options that any muddie cant compete with anyway and I retain my nice on-road manners....that's a win win, smooth tyres, diff lock and winch....it works for me anyway

These tyres are great if you ONLY want to drive sealed roads or the occasional gravel driveway. They are great for fuel economy for an everyday drive. Though if you’re like me and want to venture down the unbeaten track, I would definitely opt for something a little more capable. All in all a good dependable daily driver tyre.
